Now in its 22nd year, NNCC is a friendly four part harmony choir of over 40 singers.
The choir was formed in 1996 on the initiative of David Evans, then Music Director of Worksop College. The choir continues to be supported by Worksop College and is directed by the College's current Director of Music, Timothy Uglow and accompanied by the College's Assistant Director of Music, Charlotte Phillips.
A registered charity, 1155106 the choir is also a member of Making Music. < more info 'About Us'>
Two major concerts performed each year with Chapel Choir in the beautiful College's St Cuthbert's Chapel.
Usually held towards the end of the Autumn and Spring term. In the summer term the choir seeks to offer a different singing experience to members.
This has included in previous years choral workshops, summer soireés, sung evensong in local churches.
- Performances take place in the Worksop College Chapel and occasionally elsewhere.
- A Summer Soiree is usually also held as a social and lighter type of event

Membership of the choir is by subscription and is open to anyone interested in singing sacred choral music.
No audition required.
- Annual subscription (as of October 2019) is £90 payable by September, or if you prefer, in two instalments in September and January.
- A register of attendance is kept. The Voice rep. normally records your attendance. (Please check if this is so). If you are absent for three consecutive rehearsals you will not be expected to sing in the concert. However, the committee is not unsympathetic and, provided notice is given of unavoidable absences, allowances can be made.
Rehearsals during term time Tuesday evenings - 7.30 to 9.15pm.
Venue for rehearsals is the recital room of
Mountgarret - Music department of Worksop College
S80 3AP (for SatNav use S80 3AL)
You should be in your place in Mountgarret by 7.30 ready to sing.
We ask you to make a voluntary contribution to the refreshments served in the 15 minute interval.
If you are unable to attend a rehearsal, it would be helpful if you could telephone or email your Voice Rep, any committee member, or ask a friend to pass on a message at rehearsal so that the register can be marked accordingly. If you are absent for a period, the Secretary or Voice Rep will contact you. We value our members and regular attendance is important to maintain a good standard of performance.
